Ramadan is here again!

Hi Malay learners!

Puasa datang lagi! = Ramadan is coming again!

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection by Muslims worldwide.

During this month, Muslims refrain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset.

Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and increased devotion and worship to Allah (God).

Muslims also do extra prayers and read the Quran during this month. The fast is broken at sunset with a meal called iftar, often shared with family and friends.

As Malaysia has many Muslims and majority are Malays, we fast during the blessed month of Ramadan.

That said, since puasa datang lagi which means Ramadan or the time to fast for a month comes again in two or three days, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Muslims wherever you are, Ramadan Mubarak!

or in Malay we say,

Selamat berpuasa!

I have made a video last year on how to wish your Malay Muslim friends to welcome this blessed month in this particular video.
